Hello again
About me.
I’m David Ayers (he/him). I lead engineering teams, make games and small useful things, and occasionally write fiction.
People & technology
I’m SVP of Engineering at Invitation Homes. I care about helping people grow, giving teams context, and helping teams make decisions. Family comes first. Humor helps.
My manager README is a longer introduction to how I think and work.
I also enjoy speaking about engineering and leadership.
Making & exploring
With friends, I made and published We Slay Monsters. I’m still making things through Furiously Inactive Games, including Mahjabble and Timesheet Happens.
Outside work, you’ll find me playing board games, painting miniatures, reading, spending time with family, or heading out for a hike.
Sometimes, I write fiction, too.
